What do dealers want from a cabinet manufacturer?

Dealers want five things: fair terms to join, dependable delivery, easy ordering, support from a real person, and a product they can stand behind. A manufacturer that makes any of these hard costs the dealer jobs. This post compares that list with what Innovation Cabinetry says its dealer program offers.

The statements below come from Innovation Cabinetry’s own dealer page and FAQ. They are the company’s claims. We have not audited them, and terms may change, so confirm each one when you apply.

What a dealer needs What we say
Low barrier to join “No, signing up to become a Dealer is FREE and does not require monthly or yearly fees.”
No forced buying “Dealers are not required to make purchases to keep their accounts.”
Pricing that protects margin “wholesale pricing and preferred shipping rates”
Fast ordering A Dealer Portal to “Quote, order, track, and manage projects”
A person who knows the account “a dedicated Account Manager”
New leads An Online Dealer Finder
Fast answer on the application “typically taking 24-72 hours for approval”

Does joining cost money?

No. Its dealer FAQ says signing up is free and carries no monthly or yearly fees. It also says dealers are not required to make purchases to keep their accounts. Its dealer page repeats that there is no cost to join.

Fees and minimums are the first thing many trade buyers check. A program with no fee and no minimum lets a small shop or a new remodeler try a line on one job. You can start small and grow.

Who can become a dealer?

The dealer FAQ names contractors, builders, remodelers, showrooms and home improvement professionals. Elsewhere the company describes a network of builders, contractors, designers, architects and resellers.

Innovation Cabinetry is a wholesaler. Its dealer pop-up says it does not sell directly to the public. A homeowner who lands on the site is sent to the find a dealer form to be matched with a professional in the area.

That model means your customer arrives through you. The company’s pitch to dealers is built around that point.

What do dealers get besides wholesale pricing?

The company lists pricing, shipping, tools and support. Pricing and shipping come first: wholesale pricing, preferred shipping rates and, on its dealer page, “Protected Pricing.” This post does not state any price or discount, because the company publishes none.

Tools and support follow. The list below comes from the company’s dealer FAQ.

  1. A Dealer Portal to quote, order, track and manage projects in one place.
  2. A dedicated Account Manager. The dealer page calls it an “Exclusive Account Sales Manager.”
  3. An Online Dealer Finder that helps connect you with customers searching in your area.
  4. Early access to new products, colors and launches.
  5. Marketing tools and resources.
  6. “Reliable inventory and fast delivery you can count on.”
  7. What the company calls “Industry-leading warranty coverage designed for professionals.”

The warranty line needs care. Terms differ by product line. The indoor lines carry a ten-year limited warranty, Endura carries a lifetime limited warranty, Maverick carries five years and Profile carries one year, as each page states. Read the warranty for the line you sell on the warranty page.

Why does product quality matter to a dealer?

A dealer’s name goes on the cabinet. Callbacks cost time and trust. So dealers look for build details they can explain to a client and independent proof where it exists.

On the build side, the company’s pages describe EliteCraft as frameless, with soft-close hinges and solid wood dovetail drawers. Urban cabinets use a 3/4 in. plywood box. See the frameless cabinets page for the specifications.

On the proof side, KCMA lists a 2025 certificate for named preassembled lines of Innovation Cabinetry. It states that flat pack is not certified and expires November 30, 2026. Read what KCMA certification means before you quote it to a client. The glossary entry on KCMA certification is a short primer.

How do I apply?

You apply online through our dealer account page, reached from the become a dealer page. Our Sales Department reviews each application by hand. It gives a typical turnaround of 24-72 hours.

Questions go to 888-206-1088, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST. The company also offers a downloadable account application on one of its pages.

Prepare a few things before you start:

  1. Your business name and trade type.
  2. The lines you expect to sell: indoor, outdoor, garage or multi-family.
  3. How you plan to take orders and ship to job sites.
  4. A question list for your Account Manager.

Read our guide to becoming a cabinet dealer for a longer walk-through. A dealer can also add Endura and Maverick. The company’s Endura and Maverick pages both link to the same application.

What should I ask before I sign?

Ask for terms in writing. These questions are fair for any manufacturer, including this one:

  1. How are shipping charges calculated for my area?
  2. What happens when a delivery arrives damaged?
  3. Which lines are certified, and by whom?
  4. What is the warranty for each line I plan to sell?
  5. How do I register a client’s warranty?

The policies page and the warranty page answer some of these. Your Account Manager should answer the rest.
