Buying

How much does an outdoor kitchen cost in Tampa?

Costs vary a lot with size, layout, appliances and cabinets, and published figures conflict. Innovation Cabinetry publishes no prices. Ask a dealer for a written quote that itemizes cabinets, countertop, appliances and installation. Use the find a dealer page to be matched with a professional in your area.

Can I purchase directly from the manufacturer?

No. Innovation Cabinetry says, "Innovation Cabinetry is a wholesaler. We do not sell directly to the public." Homeowners buy through an authorized dealer. Send your details through the find a dealer form, and we will match you with an Innovation Cabinetry professional in your area.

Products

Are framed cabinets better than frameless?

Neither is better in every case. They differ in structure and look. Framed cabinets have a wood face frame on the front of the box. Frameless cabinets have no face frame, so you get more open space inside. KCMA says a properly built frameless cabinet is equally durable. Innovation Cabinetry's EliteCraft, Urban and Maverick lines are frameless.

What is the difference between frameless and framed cabinet hinges?

Framed cabinets mount hinges on the face frame. KCMA calls that wood frame "exceptionally durable for mounting cabinet hinges and hardware." Frameless cabinets have no face frame, so the hinges mount to the cabinet box. Innovation Cabinetry's Urban and Profile pages describe 6-way adjustable soft-close concealed door hinges.

What type of cabinets last the longest?

Build quality and certification matter more than the style. KCMA says both framed and frameless cabinets can meet professional standards for long-term performance. Look for a KCMA A161.1 certification label, and ask your dealer which line carries it. The KCMA certificate for Innovation Cabinetry covers named preassembled lines only.

Are framed cabinets stronger than frameless ones?

Not necessarily. Framed cabinets get rigidity from the face frame, and frameless cabinets get strength from the box itself, using thicker sides, floors and backs. KCMA says a properly built frameless cabinet is equally durable. Innovation Cabinetry describes 3/4 in. plywood box construction on its EliteCraft and Urban lines.

Which type offers more storage and access?

Frameless cabinets. KCMA says they "generally provide about 20% more storage and full access than framed options." Without the face frame, drawers sit higher and wider. Innovation Cabinetry's own pages claim 15% more storage for its frameless interiors, and one Profile page claims 18%. Ask your dealer which figure applies to your line.

Which type is easier to install, and how do they handle uneven walls and heavy countertops?

Framed cabinets are generally more forgiving on uneven walls, and KCMA calls them exceptionally sturdy under heavy countertops. Frameless cabinets need more precise installation because no face frame hides gaps. KCMA says both styles require professional skill to install. Ask your installer to check walls and floors first.

How do the two types compare on cost?

KCMA says framed and frameless cabinets "often have very similar linear foot pricing." Real cost depends on the line, door style, layout and dealer. Innovation Cabinetry publishes no prices. Ask a dealer for a written quote that lists the collection, color and each cabinet. Use the find a dealer page to start.

Why does certification matter regardless of style?

Style does not prove quality. KCMA says its A161.1 certification tests structural integrity, moisture resistance, hardware performance and finish durability. Innovation Cabinetry holds KCMA certificate 25145, valid to November 30, 2026. It covers named preassembled lines, and flat pack cabinets are not certified. Ask your dealer which line you are buying.

What is the difference between RTA and assembled cabinets?

RTA means ready to assemble. The cabinet ships flat in a box and you or an installer builds it. Assembled cabinets arrive built. Innovation Cabinetry's RTA warranty covers "Ready to Assemble" cabinetry for ten years from shipment. Its EliteCraft brochure also lists a flat pack or fully assembled option. Ask your dealer which is available.

Are RTA cabinets the same quality as assembled ones?

Not always certified the same way. The KCMA certificate for Innovation Cabinetry covers named preassembled lines and says flat pack (unassembled) cabinets, if sold by this manufacturer, are not certified. Innovation Cabinetry's RTA warranty is ten years from shipment. Ask your dealer which line and format you are buying.

How long does RTA assembly take, and what tools are needed?

The company does not state an assembly time or a tool list. It posts step-by-step assembly videos for single cabinets, such as Base Cabinet, Sink Base and Lazy Susan. Those videos run about 3 to 6.5 minutes each. That is video length, not a promise of build time. Watch the video for your cabinet before you start.

Are RTA cabinets hard to put together?

The company gives help: its Assembly Videos page has ten videos, including Base Cabinet, Base Blind Corner, Sink Base and Drawer Base. Difficulty depends on your skill and the cabinet. Corner and drawer cabinets have more parts. If you are unsure, ask your dealer about assembly help, or hire an installer.

Can a contractor assemble RTA cabinets for you?

Ask your installer or dealer. Innovation Cabinetry's Rebuild page lists "Expert assembly, custom cut-downs, and reliable delivery services" and notes that select services affect timing. The company does not say whether dealers offer this, so ask who assembles and installs.

Which is better for a kitchen remodel, RTA or assembled?

It depends on your budget for labor, your schedule and your skills. Assembled cabinets save build time. RTA ships flat and needs assembly. Innovation Cabinetry's KCMA certificate covers preassembled lines only. Talk to your dealer about format, certification and who will install.

Outdoor

What materials are outdoor cabinets made from?

Innovation Cabinetry's Endura outdoor cabinets are made of 3/4 in. marine-grade, all-weather high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Hinges are 304 stainless steel 6-way adjustable soft-close, and the legs are adjustable rust-resistant 304 stainless steel. Our cabinets never need sanding or painting.

Are outdoor cabinets really weatherproof?

Endura is built for the outdoors. Our 3/4 in. marine-grade HDPE is UV and weather-resistant and "will never rot, delaminate, or splinter." It also says Endura never needs refinishing. Those are company claims. The company does not recommend submerging cabinets, and Endura carries a lifetime limited warranty.

Do I need an insulated grill jacket?

Follow your grill maker's instructions. They set the clearance and any jacket you need. Innovation Cabinetry's Endura line includes grill base cabinets, and its HDPE datasheet lists UL94 HB flammability. Check local code with your building department and installer before you place a grill near any cabinet.

Can outdoor cabinets be installed on a sloped patio?

Endura base cabinets stand on adjustable legs, which help level small differences, but the company gives no slope limit. Its installation guide says a licensed contractor or experienced cabinetry professional should handle installation. Ask your installer to check the patio and any drainage before you order.

Can outdoor cabinets be used indoors?

The company sells Endura as an outdoor cabinet and does not say it is meant for indoor rooms. Its indoor collections are EliteCraft and Urban. Ask your dealer before using Endura inside, because warranty terms are set by line and may not cover that use.

Can I install outdoor cabinets myself?

The Endura RTA installation guide says installation "should be handled by a licensed contractor or an experienced cabinetry professional." It recommends a minimum of two people and tells you to check local building codes first. A do-it-yourself install is a risk to your warranty and safety, so confirm with your dealer.

What warranty does the maker offer?

Endura carries a lifetime limited warranty on its HDPE carcasses, doors, drawers and shelves. Hinges and leveling legs have a five-year limited warranty, and optional metal drawer glides have two years. It applies to residential use in the United States by the original purchaser. Refunds are generally not available.

Which cabinet material is best for an outdoor kitchen?

Pick a material made for water, sun and heat. Innovation Cabinetry's Endura uses 3/4 in. marine-grade HDPE, and we will not rot, delaminate or splinter. It pairs that with 304 stainless steel hinges and legs. Compare the maker's warranty and ask for a sample before you order.

What are the pros and cons of an outdoor kitchen in Tampa?

A Tampa outdoor kitchen gives you cooking space outside, and weather-resistant cabinets such as Endura HDPE fit that use. The main concern is storms. The National Hurricane Center reports that in Hurricane Helene "maximum storm surge inundation of 5 to 7 ft AGL occurred" in Tampa Bay. Plan placement with your local building department.

How does an outdoor kitchen compare to an indoor kitchen?

An outdoor kitchen faces sun, rain and heat, so material matters. Innovation Cabinetry's Endura outdoor line is 3/4 in. HDPE with a lifetime limited warranty. Its indoor EliteCraft line uses a 3/4 in. plywood box and has a 10-year warranty. Choose the line made for where the cabinets will stand.
