Can I buy Innovation Cabinetry directly?
No. Innovation Cabinetry says it is a wholesaler and does not sell directly to the public. You buy through an authorized dealer. A cabinet dealer is the business that quotes your job, orders the cabinets and usually helps with delivery and install.
The company states that its products are distributed nationwide through a network of contractors, builders and design professionals. Its dealer page lists who can join: contractors, builders, remodelers, showrooms and home improvement professionals. Your dealer might be a showroom or a remodeling firm.
This setup has one big benefit. One local business is responsible for your layout, your order and the first stop for warranty questions. Read the rest of this page to see how that works from first look to last screw.
How does buying through a dealer work, step by step?
You research, pick a line and color, find a dealer, measure and design with them, order, take delivery, install, and register your warranty. The table at the top of this page lists all seven steps. Each one is explained below.
Take it one step at a time. You do not need to settle every detail before you call a dealer. A rough idea of door style and color is enough to start.
- Look at the collections: EliteCraft and Urban for indoor kitchens, Endura for outdoor kitchens, Maverick Garageworx for garages.
- Choose a door style and a few colors.
- Submit the find a dealer form.
- Meet the dealer for measuring and design.
- Review the quote and order.
- Receive and inspect the cabinets, then install them.
- Register your warranty.
How do I find a dealer?
Submit the find a dealer form on our site. You give your name, address, email and a message. We will match you with an Innovation Cabinetry professional in your area. The site does not show a public dealer list or map.
Open the find a dealer page and fill in every required field. Add a short message with your room, the collection you like and your timing. A clear note helps the dealer answer on the first call.
You can also call the company at 888.206.1088. The Tampa office is at 7030 Anderson Rd, Tampa, FL 33634.
If you are a contractor, builder or remodeler and want to sell the line yourself, see become a dealer. Builders with multi-family projects should read the multi-family cabinets page.
How do I pick a collection and color before I call?
Start with the look you want and the room it goes in. Pick a collection, then a door style, then two or three colors. Having names ready saves time and keeps the quote focused.
- Shaker or raised panel in a painted finish: EliteCraft.
- Flat modern fronts or slim shaker, with wood tones, grays, greens and more: Urban.
- A patio or lanai kitchen: Endura.
- A workshop or garage: Maverick Garageworx.
The kitchen cabinet styles and colors pillar shows every door style and links to each color page. If you like clean modern lines, the frameless cabinets page explains what the box construction means for storage and install.
The catalogs page holds brochures and tear sheets. Save the names of colors you like. Request a sample from your dealer before you order, since screens do not show true color.
What should I ask a dealer?
Ask about the exact line, the box and door construction, who measures, who installs, the delivery plan and the warranty. Get answers in writing. Compare two dealers on the same layout in the same line so the quotes line up.
Here is a short checklist:
- Which collection and color is this quote for?
- Does the quote include the full cabinet list, fillers, toe kicks, panels and trim?
- Are the cabinets assembled or flat pack (RTA)?
- Which quality certification covers this line? KCMA says “Aesthetics alone do not guarantee longevity,” so ask for the certificate behind the line.
- Who installs, and is install in the quote?
- What is the delivery plan, and who checks the order on arrival?
- How do I file a warranty claim through you?
- What is your return policy for this order?
Do not skip the price comparison, but do not use it alone. A low quote that leaves out fillers or install can cost more later.
Who measures and designs the kitchen?
Your dealer does. Most dealers measure the room, record windows, doors, vents and appliances, then draw a layout and a cabinet list. Check the drawing and the list against your own notes before you approve anything.
Our account managers and design consultants are trained in design. Whether you work with one depends on the dealer you match with.
When you review the drawing, check these points:
- Do the wall and tall cabinets clear windows, vents and doors?
- Do appliance openings match the real appliance sizes?
- Is each wall run planned with fillers or a scribe where the wall is not straight?
- Are the base cabinet and wall cabinet heights correct for you?
The company’s 2023 catalog lists standard base cabinets 34.5 inches high and 24 inches deep, with widths from 9 to 42 inches. Treat that as a reference, and use your dealer’s current size list for the order.
RTA or assembled: which should I order?
Assembled cabinets arrive built. RTA (ready to assemble) cabinets arrive flat and you or an installer build them. Assembled saves work on site. RTA can be easier to move through a tight space. Ask your dealer which form the line you chose comes in.
An assembled cabinet is ready to hang. A flat pack cabinet needs time and tools. The company’s EliteCraft brochure shows the line as available flat pack or fully assembled. The Maverick garage brochure says “fully assembled.” Endura product pages say fully assembled, while the company also publishes Endura RTA assembly guides.
Read the RTA vs assembled guide for the trade-offs. The company’s assembly videos show how its cabinets go together. One more reason to decide early: the Maverick warranty says assembled or installed items are deemed accepted and cannot be exchanged or returned.
How long does delivery take?
Ask your dealer for a delivery date in writing. Innovation Cabinetry does not publish a delivery time for all lines, and dealers add their own scheduling. A date from the person who placed your order is the one to plan around.
Plan the work around the date, not the other way. Book your installer once the date is firm, and ask what happens if the date moves.
What should I check when cabinets arrive?
Count the boxes, check each box for damage, and compare the contents to your cabinet list. Do this before the driver leaves and before you sign. Note any damage on the paperwork and tell your dealer the same day.
The company’s return policy matters here. It says products damaged in transit that shipped by freight from the company’s warehouse cannot be returned to Innovation Cabinetry. Claims follow the freight company’s process. Your dealer can tell you how to file.
Keep cabinets in their boxes until install day. The return policy asks for original boxes that are not wet or damaged. Store them flat and dry, away from anything that can stain.
Who installs the cabinets?
A qualified installer does. Your dealer may include install, offer an install partner, or leave it to you and your contractor. Ask this early, since the warranty can be void if cabinets are modified or improperly installed.
The Endura installation guide says install should be handled by a licensed contractor or an experienced cabinetry professional, with at least two people. Indoor cabinets need the same care. Wall and floor checks come first, which is especially true for frameless boxes.
The company’s warranty does not cover labor to remove and reinstall countertops, appliances, plumbing or electrical. Plan those trades around the cabinet install.
What does the warranty cover and how do I register?
Indoor cabinetry has a 10-year limited warranty from the date of shipment. Endura has a lifetime limited warranty, with 5 years on hinges, legs and factory hardware. Maverick has 5 years. Profile has one year. Register through the form on the warranty page.
To register, you need your purchase or installation date, your contractor or supplier name, the product type, the style and color, and your Innovation sales order number. Ask your dealer for that number at order time. See warranty registration for what the term means.
For a claim, contact the dealer where you bought the cabinets first. The company asks that you allow the dealer time to inspect the product and respond. If you need more help, write to customerservice@innovationcabinetry.com. The full terms are on the warranty and policies pages.
Can I return cabinets?
Within limits. The company allows returns within 45 days of the invoice date. Cabinets must be in original, dry boxes and pass inspection. Customized or assembled cabinets cannot be returned, and the company can refuse a return.
Hardware must also be in original packing and free from scratches and dirt. Endura is made to order, and its materials say there are no refunds or returns. Because of these limits, check your cabinet list, sizes and colors before you order. Ask your dealer for the return terms in writing.
Next step
Pick the collection that fits your room, then find a dealer to start your quote. Browse EliteCraft or Urban if you are still deciding. After install, register your warranty.
