Ready-to-assemble (RTA) cabinet
An RTA cabinet ships as flat parts that you or your installer put together on site, which makes it easier to move through tight spaces.
RTA stands for ready to assemble. The parts come in flat boxes with hardware and instructions. Someone builds each box on site and then installs it.
This helps when access is hard, such as on stairs or in a tight yard. It also costs less to ship. The trade-off is labor on site. Quality depends on the joinery and on careful assembly. Compare it with an assembled cabinet.
Innovation Cabinetry's warranty notes cover "Ready to Assemble 'RTA' cabinetry products" with a ten year term. The brand also has an Endura RTA outdoor line with assembly guides and an installation guide that suggests a licensed contractor or an experienced cabinetry professional. The KCMA certificate does not cover flat pack cabinets. Read the RTA vs assembled guide and the Endura RTA installation guide.
