Shaker door
A shaker door has a flat center panel framed by four flat rails and stiles, which gives a simple, balanced look that suits both classic and modern rooms.
A shaker door has five parts: a flat center panel and four flat frame pieces. There is no carving or raised profile. The plain lines fit many styles, from farmhouse to modern.
It is one of the most popular door styles because it is easy to clean and easy to match. Painted shaker doors are common. A wider frame feels more classic. A narrower frame feels lighter. See slim shaker door.
The EliteCraft Craftsman collection is built on Shaker-style doors, and the brochure lists solid wood stiles and rails with an MDF center panel.
