Raised panel door

A raised panel door has a center panel shaped to stand out from the surrounding frame, which creates a traditional, detailed look.

On a raised panel door, the center is thicker than the frame and shaped at the edges. This gives shadow lines and depth. It is the classic look for traditional kitchens.

Choose it when you want detail and warmth. It collects a bit more dust in the grooves than a shaker door, so cleaning takes a little more care.

Innovation Cabinetry's Classic Collection uses this style. The Classic White tear sheet describes "Frameless cabinets with raised panel doors" and "Multi-layered painted doors and drawers with solid wood frames and decorative MDF center panel." A glass front option is available. See Classic White, Maduro and the Classic Collections page. For MDF details, see that entry. Ask for a sample door so you can see how the profile looks in your light.
