Doors and finishes
Full overlay
A full overlay door covers almost the whole front of the cabinet box, leaving only a thin, even gap between doors and drawer fronts.
With a full overlay, the door is larger than the opening. It hides the edge of the box, and you see mostly door and drawer fronts across the wall. The gaps between them are small and even.
This look is clean and modern. It also shows every door edge, so alignment matters. Good hinges that you can adjust help keep the gaps straight. See hinge adjustment.
The Profile brochure says its doors and drawer fronts are "Full overlay door and drawer fronts available in a Shaker and Slab door profile." You can read more about Profile at multi-family cabinets and about door shapes in the door styles guide. Ask your dealer for a sample door so you can judge the gap and the finish in person.
