# Filler strip

A filler is a narrow strip that closes a small gap between a cabinet and a wall or between two cabinets, so the run fits the room exactly.

Rooms are never exact. A wall may bow, and a run of cabinets may end a few inches short. A filler is a plain strip of matching material that closes the gap.

Fillers also help doors clear each other at corners. Without one, a door can hit a handle or an appliance. The installer cuts the filler to width and often [scribes](https://innovationcabinetry.multisites.ai/glossary/scribe) it to match the wall.

Some Innovation Cabinetry lines include fillers. The Maverick Garageworx brochure lists a filler, model MV-F384. The Endura RTA assembly guides include a filler as well, plus finish panels. Planning with fillers lets a dealer match your layout to the room. See [Maverick Garageworx](https://innovationcabinetry.multisites.ai/maverick_garageworx_cabinetry), [Endura](https://innovationcabinetry.multisites.ai/endura) and the [how to buy cabinets](https://innovationcabinetry.multisites.ai/how-to-buy-cabinets) page. Your dealer can mark the filler widths on your plan before the order is placed.
